Photo Coa
Tangible assets are usually collectors of perishable goods such as stamps, paper and photographs which are of significant value collectors.
One of the main growing area in the category of property, plant collector, the signed documents and photographs.
In fact, the division signed autographica and memorabilia has become so popular and saturated products, it is becoming more counterfeit and pirated goods are there, disguised as the real thing.
So, how do you spot the real deal from a fake one may ask?
Well, it can be very difficult to implement because of the good quality replicas are there. Even for the experienced collector with extensive experience, not may happen, individual items may look real, when in fact it is not.
However, there are some things you can do as a collector, to protect themselves from falling prey to these unscrupulous characters out there.
Take autograph postcards, posters, photos and other memorabilia signed, for example. There are large quantities of fake signatures there that have been made by autopens - autopens are mechanical devices that are able to reproduce a person's own signature.
Pictures, posters, etc. .. signed by autopen are often performed in the "sharpie" thick black pen. Despite the signing of the sharpie does not make a clear signal to the false signature, there are other symptoms should be paid account as well.
Fake signature done in sharpie will often have letters of equal width and length as opposed to the real signature. You will find also that autopen signature made up, the pressure in line - feature, which does not know most of the peoples signatures.
Autopen signature often appears uncertain due to vibration of machinery and may not be visible from the spots of ink at the end of the signature.
If you will be doubts as to whether the product is true or false, it is not the best solution is to buy and look elsewhere.
As a basic minimum to your security, I would advise the following:
1) If possible, deal with only a very respectful people and organizations. Check whether the seller is UACC Registered - an acronym for Universal Autograph Collectors Club. Dealer registered under loading by a strict code of UACC ethics and it is highly unlikely to ever knowingly provide false position.
2) Check it out at ACAF acaf.co.uk - Collectors Autograph Against Fakes useful help and advice.
3) seek assurances from the seller that you should have reason to doubt authenticity of the signature, you can return the goods to the full, no quibble refund. This should be documented and signed by the seller in the relationship.
4) Finally, do not place any faith in COA - certificate of authenticity. These certificates can be easily reproduced and are by no means a 100% guarantee on the item is authentic. Do you keep the certificate but it is a proof of purchase and, therefore, continue to value for you.
