Vintage Replica
Vintage, replicas, retro or classic?
If it is not about goals, then football is a word. So many words about the beautiful game spouted commentators and experts on television, for the good gentlemen of the press, the pundits of the amateur terms of publications and of course the players themselves. Since this article is about football shirts, I'd like to focus on just six words: football, t-shirts, vintage, replica, retro and classic.
Vintage Football Shirts
Vintage shirt footy shirt with any non-modern era. So last year the Shrewsbury Town shirt can be considered vintage. For the same reason, Preston North End shirt from 1888 to 1989 season can be considered vintage football shirt. So the description of "vintage" does not give any guidance as to the value of a football shirt. We must therefore bring additional definitions.
Classic Football Shirts
A classic that this figure includes shirt with Preston from 1888 to 1889, but not our beloved Shrewsbury Town a few years back. Through his activities and performance of this team Preston North End to gain first in the history of the League Championship, a shirt to wear during this season is a classic shirt. Since the game was in its infancy at this stage, of course, would not be such as the football industry, including a replica shirt - any shirt claiming to be true PNE from 1888 to 1889 should be treated with caution. However, modern manufacturers such as doing Toffs replica.
My definition (of "classical") may include replicas of shirts worn by teams or particularly memorable success, so England shirt since 1966, or Manchester United to Wembley in 1968, or one of Liverpool Rome 1977, but there are three examples classic shirts.
Soccer Replica shirts
T-shirt is a replica of every (official) copies of the set. Therefore our England in 1966, you can specify as a replica or a game worn, classic and vintage - as I mentioned above, an additional distinction between cues and match the key is worn like a big bucks can be jeopardized. Of course, the distinction "replica" may include unofficial copies, so caution is advised in dealing with these. Replica T-shirt may be vintage / current, classic or retro. Remember also that there is no such thing as a replica shirt before 1975, so any replica 1966 England shirt was made from.
Retro Football T-shirt
It seems that retro deadline date will be the position from 80 to mid 90s. I do not know where this definition is entirely arbitrary in the sense arose from football shirts, but I would like to put that birth of a shirt sponsorship (Liverpool FC deal with Hitachi in 1979) defines the beginning of "retro" period and possibly a need for at least 10 or 15 years to determine end of the period.
So those are my definitions of the terms vintage "," classic "," replica "and" retro ", a as applied to football shirts. Of course, we can see different fitting shirts in whole or in any of these categories. Everton shirt the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Final in 1985 fits all whereas Hereford United shirt from this season will be only a replica shirts - to launch a Cup in 1972 will be another matter of mind.
