Reign of Elizabeth I, Queen of England at the end of 1500, marked an intellectual Renaissance. Unfortunately, also marked the era of intensified persecution of witches, persecution supported by the Queen, which is said to be devout beings - always lending your ear to the clergy and the position of their bad advice. It may also be concerned about your safety.

The fact that the printing press also enabled the publishing of books on astrology, alchemy and Magic, only exacerbates the problem already burning. In 1562 Elizabeth I passed Elizabethan Witchcraft Act "against spells, incantations and spells." The Act certainly more severe than in Italy and Spain. Do not combine acts of heresy with acts of magic. It also offered punishment by hanging, not burning and disallowed the torture of suspects.
