Playoff Contenders
It's September, which means back to school, NFL betting starts and Major League Baseball pennant races start.
Expansion of one wild card in the match contender in each league began in 1995 and provides more excitement to the season for these teams and their fans.

The closest race in the American League Central where the Tigers lead the Twins 41 / 2 games. Over the last 13 seasons, no team, which led to divisions more than three games in September are not entering the playoffs.
Now, a lot can happen between now and the end of Regular Season October 4, but before the division in the game have been playing good ball from the all-star break.
One team that is leaking a bit right now are the LA Angels, who are 4-6 in the last 10 games, but Texas, who have five games for the Angels Gone 5 / 5 for the same distance. Besides the weekend pitcher Scott Kazmir, acquired from Tampa Bay, will be Angels help to maintain an advantage over Texas.

In the National League wild card teams are in the playoffs without a support team other than the Giants at 6-4 in the last ten to win more than five during the same period. Colorado will try to right their ship with the hapless Mets week will meet with the Giants for one set of three games in September.
Cubbies have two games in Houston this week before playing with make-up-White Sox on Thursday. Chicago a large series four games with the giants at the end of September, which could go towards deciding the winner of wild card. San Francisco is difficult in this week of the three game tilt at home against the Phillies.
In the American League, Rangers unhappy host Blue Jays in the three game set, to kick off a week. Tampa Bay plays host to Boston in a series of three games this week. Same teams will meet in Boston the week after three game. Boston is the hottest team in the race after he went 7-3 in the last ten, but it includes sweeping Jays this weekend. Jays seem to cast in the towel on the season and Rangers should be three against them to begin weeks to keep them in the race with the Angels for the division.
