Even before the 2009 Super Bowl and started a lot of teams are trying to strengthen their coaching staffs. Panthers inevitably wants to strengthen their end of the season as 18th in total defense, 16 on the margins of the defense and 20th in rushing defense. Meeks brings a wealth of experience to the Panthers. He began coaching at Arkansas State in 1984 before joining the University of Miami for two seasons in 1986. He graduated from Career College coaching position with New Mexico State and Fresno State. NFL defenses, he joined the Dallas Cowboys' assistant in 1991. He was hired by the Cincinnati Bengals to their secondary coach in 1992, the position was in 1996. He served in the same position with the Atlanta Falcons from 1997 to 1999. He spent a season each with the Washington Redskins and St. St. Louis Rams before Dungy hired by the Colts as a defensive coordinator in 2002. During his tenure with the Colts, Indianapolis, Meeks has routinely ranked in the top 10 in points allowed. He also helped team to a Super Bowl championship in 2006.
In contrast to the Panthers, Ravens looking to maintain a defensive position instead of pull from the lower rankings. Ravens number two position in the overall defense of the same rank in passing defense and ranked number three in rushing defense. Mattison began coaching in secondary schools in Wisconsin before becoming a graduate assistant at the University of Illinois, where Mattison received a master's degree. The next year was defensive line coach at Cornell before the same position at Northwestern from 1978 to 1980. He moved to the defense coordinator and linebackers coach at Western Michigan in 1981. Stayed to 1986, he moved to the defense line coach Navy in 1987 and 1988. In 1989, he was defensive line coach at Texas A & M, where he remained until "99". During this time he had the impression Aggies defense. He was defensive line coach at Michigan from 1992-1994 before are promoted to the Michigan defense coordinator / defensive line coach in 1995. He held a similar view of Notre Dame 1997-2001. In 2002 he became their defense line coach / recruiting coordinator. In 2005 he co defensive coordinator / Defensive line coach at the University of Florida, leading to the top of the program. Entered NFL in 2008 as the Ravens' linebackers coach before his promotion.
