Eric Lindros

Dallas Stars are a professional ice hockey team based in Dallas, Texas. Are members of the Pacific Division of Western Conference in the NHL.

Franchise History:
Minnesota North Stars was founded as an extension of the band in 1967, playing their home games in Bloomington, Minnesota, initially successful, both on the ice and the gate.

They were purchased by the owners also are fighting the Cleveland Barons in 1978 and allowed two NHL franchises to merge. In 1994 playoffs Stars lost to the Cinderella-story Vancouver Canucks. Stars franchise won the first Stanley Cup, vs Buffalo Sabers in 1999. Dallas returned to the Stanley Cup in 2000 year, but lost to the New Jersey Devils. In 2001-02, the team moved to a new arena American Airlines Center.

Season 2006-2007:
Summer 2006 The, Stars made a few changes. Former Stars goalie Andy Moog was promoted to Assistant General Manager for Player Development and former football player was hired Ulf Dahlén as an assistant coach. Stars allowed right-wing Bill Guerin, center Jason Arnott, defenseman Willie Mitchell, and goaltender Johan Hedberg to leave as free resources. Further Niko Kapanen was traded to the Atlanta Thrashers.

Stars received Patrik Stefan and Jaroslav Modry trade in Atlanta, signed Eric Lindros, Jeff Halpern, Matthew Barnaby and Darryl Sydor as free resources. Young goalie Mike Smith was promoted to the NHL to serve as a backup Marty Turco.

Brenden Morrow was announced as a new team captain on 29 September 2006, with the "C" with Mike Modano. Center Mike Ribeiro, winger Ladislav Nagy and defender Mattias Norström were posted by three separate games of the season. Young players Joel Lundqvist, Krys BArch, Nicklas Grossman and Chris Conner saw much more ice time, while when other players were out of the lineup with injuries.

55th National Hockey League All-Star Game was held at American Airlines Center on January 24, 2007. Defender Philippe Boucher and goalie Marty Turco Stars represent the Western Conference All-Star Plan.

Mike Modano scored his 500th career NHL goal, making it only 39 players and 2 American ever to reach 500 goals in 13 March 2007. Modano scored his 502nd and 503rd NHL goals, breaking the American record for a player who was born earlier owned by Joe Mullen on March 17, 2007.

Stars qualified for the playoffs as the # 6 seed in the Western Conference and squared off against the Vancouver Canucks in the first round of playoffs. Goalkeeper Marty Turco pitched three shutout wins, but the images of the stars could not be used and lost 4 games series 3
